Financial Documents pages are automatically included in releases as of the Fonteva 20Spring release.

In order to produce financial documents from the Orders menu item, you will need to first create Financial Document pages in the Community Builder for the following:

  • Order Summary

  • Sales Order

  • Credit Note

  • Receipt

  • Refund

Important: If you are using a Fonteva release earlier than 20Spring, you must also create an Invoice page.

You must use the above titles to name your Financial Document pages. There needs to be one page for every item listed above, and you must provide the exact name as written.

If multilingual translations are enabled in the org, Financial Documents will utilize the Line Description field on the Item instead of the Sales Order Line Line Description.

You will not be able to successfully view PDFs if you do not create these pages exactly as directed.

Important: If there is no Default Site set in Lightning Lens, a “URL No Longer Exists“ error generates when accessing Financial Documents. Define a Default Site here.

Page Privacy and Security

Financial Document pages must be set to Public on the page's Properties. Otherwise, the pages will not be accessible. To avoid exposure of private information, an internal mechanism encrypts the page IDs to prevent access from malicious parties. This encrypted ID is only supported on the Financial Document and Order View pages, and is internal. An Encrypted ID field is available on the Order Summary, Sales Order, Credit Note, and Receipt objects to provide an encryption ID link that can be applied to emails and other outgoing links.

Run Access Manager:

After publishing the Financial Document pages, we recommend you run Access Manager for your Community Profiles. Directions for running Access Manager are on the Run Access Manager page.

Make sure you enable Object PermissionsClass and Page Access, and Field Permissions as detailed in Step 5 under Run Access Manager. The Financial Document pages will not be accessible otherwise.

Encrypted ID Fields:

The Encrypted ID field provides an encrypted ID link that can be applied to emails and other outgoing links where you want to provide your Financial Documents. This field is located on the Order Summary, Sales Order, Credit Note, and Receipt objects.

Custom Components for Financial Documents:

You can create your own Lightning Components to apply to the Financial Document pages in place of those provided by Fonteva. If you choose to do so, please be aware that your custom Lightning Components' print styles will need to match Fonteva's Lightning Components for the Financial Document pages.
